NEW YORK, NY – Thomas Hughes, GNY’s Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, has been selected as a lead “success story” on St. John’s University’s College of Professional Studies website.
Although honored for his professional achievements since graduation – including his counter-intelligence work for the FBI prior to obtaining his law degree – Tom’s on-campus achievements are still being felt. While an undergraduate in 1972, he founded the St. John’s University Criminal Justice Association, which is still active.
Likewise, the College’s insistence that all majors take both theology and philosophy courses continues to influence Tom’s life, as he now works as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Philosophy at St. John’s, introducing undergraduates to the life-enriching discipline.
The combination of high-profile professional success with a commitment to excellence exemplifies not only St. John’s core values but also GNY’s.
